About SD Transportation Services – A Journey of Dedication and Growth

After serving 22 years in the Royal Navy as an RN Medic, I had to carefully consider the next chapter of my life. The logical choice may have been a role within the NHS, but after realizing I had missed out on the last 10 years of family life, I knew I needed something that offered more flexibility. The idea of being self-employed quickly became more appealing.

Thus, SD Transportation Services was born—a one-man operation with a van that quickly grew thanks to my commitment to offering reliable and affordable services to the local community. Through word of mouth, demand surged, and I was fortunate enough to expand my team with more dedicated staff members. From a solo venture to a growing business, it’s been an incredible journey!

Beyond the Business

In my spare time, I serve as a retained firefighter, and play the roles of dad, husband, and, surprisingly, pony caretaker—though I don’t actually own the pony! My family life keeps me grounded and adds even more purpose to the work I do.
